What this blog is/will be about

Who am I?

A human, resident of the United States; Washington to be more specific. Someone who recently made the decision to boldly step outside of their comfort zone in order to (hopefully) achieve some measure of personal development and growth. Currently 27 and not getting any younger, so I figured that there was never going to be a better time than the present to see the world and experience cultures and people that I might not otherwise ever get to know outside of what I'm told.

What is this blog?

Well right now, nothing. For now it will be a place for me to wax poetic on the virtues of travel and the broadening of one's horizons without having any actual travel updates. Once I actually start my journey it should get a little more interesting...

What will this blog be?

Good question. Truthfully? I don't know. My plan is to make this the spot where I can share my experiences and observations as I travel abroad and go face to face with the unknown and unfamiliar. There will be pictures, stories, advice, and if there is enough interest in my experiences there will be some sort of connected dialog through which readers of this blog can communicate with me and other readers.

What's the plan?

For now the plan is to find a job teaching English in South Korea. Luckily I can find a job while still living in the US as schools in SK hire remotely then fly you there. I will do a 2nd post sometime about the specifics of teaching in South Korea and what made me choose that nation over others. Where in South Korea? I'm not 100% sure yet though I'll probably look for positions in Daegu, Seoul, or Busan.
